Using a ‘here to HELP’ Award from Save the Children and British Gas, we employed a professional dance teacher/choreographer to work with the Youth Dance Company and create two new choreographies.
Momentum Dance was commissioned by the ‘Make your Mark’ foundation to create and perform a new Hip-Hop style choreography that will be premiered at the Wakefield Mela - Saturday 9th June 2007
Momentum Dance had a fantastic time exhibiting and performing at ‘MOVE IT’ 2007. Look out 2008!!

Momentum Youth Dance Company are representing Yorkshire
Following on from Momentum Dance’s fantastic SELL-OUT 10th Anniversary performance at Wakefield Theatre Royal, the youth dance company are now busy preparing for the National Youth Dance Festival. For the second year running Momentum Youth Dance Company have been selected from hundreds of applications to represent Yorkshire at the highly prestigious event which this year takes place at Sadlers Wells in London. This is a real honour for Momentum Dance and a chance to put dance in Wakefield well and truly on the map!
